Chase the Game, Not the Fame

Meet Robert Cash and JJ Tracy, two college buddies from Ohio State who have transformed into professional doubles players. They truly capture the spirit of tennis: it’s all about the love of the game and the bond they share, not the spotlight. After clinching the 2024 NCAA Doubles National Championship and snagging 5 pro titles, they’ve made it into the ATP Top 70, opting for the camaraderie of doubles over solo stardom.

Cash, who’s been accepted into medical school, has decided to hit pause on his studies to chase doubles titles alongside Tracy.

Meanwhile, Tracy, armed with a finance degree and a knack for singles, values their friendship more than personal accolades.

Their journey speaks to every young player out there—whether they hail from small-town Midwest or bustling city streets—showing that passion and teamwork can shine on any court. They’re all about the love of doubles right now, with medicine and finance waiting in the wings if tennis takes a turn.
